Bemerkungen/Beschreibung

In 2020 the territories of 8 pairs of golden eagles in and around the Gesäuse National Park were checked. It was found that eagles were present in all areas. In 4 cases an occupied eyrie was initially found. The pair in Johnsbach bred in the same eyrie this year as in 2018 (Johnsbach 04 Wasserfal). The second pair in the NP area bred on Gstatterstein. Another pair (Radmer) also brooded. The eyrie in the Mengg area was also occupied. Unfortunately the brood was broken off in all three nests. The feeding of a young eagle could only be observed in the Admont area.
