Atti della Accademia Roveretana degli Agiati/Serie 8 B Classe di Scienze Matematiche Fisiche e Naturali. 4B: p 71-96 This article must be considered in the context of a general revision of the genus Anonconotus Camerano, 1898, that one of the Authors (A. Galvagni) is carrying out. This article is confined to isolated populations from Eastern Alps, in the extreme East ern range of the genus. Material from almost all known localities in Eastern Alps has been studied. The presence of Anonconotus alpinus (Yersin, 1858) from the locality of Lechtaler Alpen, on western border of Tyrol, near St. Anton am Arlberg (Austria), is confirmed. This population must be considered a relict, as Anonconotus alpinus mainly is distributed in Western Alps and Prealps of Switzerland, France and marginally Italy. Anonconotus italoaustriacus Nadig, 1987, nov. stat., is considered as a species, mainly on the basis of male genitalia: its presence from the mountains of Alto Adige (= Suedtirol), Eastern Tyrol (= Ost Tirol) and North western Carinzia (= Karnten) is recorded. In the absence of verification material, the stations of Monte Altissimo di Nago (Mount Baldo massive, Trentino, Italy), Mount Pavione and Mount Pietena (Vette Feltrine mountains, Veneto region, Italy) are tentatively attributed to this species. The variability of titillators, male cerci and female subgenital plate of all considered populations are illustrated by original drawings. Living specimens of Anonconotus italoaustriacus Nadig, 198 of the population present on mount Sciliar (= Schlern, Alto Adige, Italy) as well its natural habitat are illustrated by color photos. A distribution map of the related species A. alpinus (Yersin, 1858), A. italoaustriacus Nadig, 1987 and A. ghilianiii Camerano, 1878 is presented.
