This study should provide insight into the influence of different grassland management not only on the species composition of butterflies, but also on its underlying network structure using the example of flower-butterfly networks.
Do different grassland regimes have an impact on the degree of specialisation of selected species and whether this differs for the same butterfly species between land-use types?

Fieldwork focussing on butterfly-flower networks at different grassland regimes:
- meadows which are mowed once a year, but the hay is not removed
- meadows which are mowed annually and the hay is removed
- very low intensity grazing by Przewalsky horses
- pastures which are extensively grazed by ranging cattle attended by a herdsman
